Experts wanted for North West London Alliance: MAD Republic

06/05/2015

Are you a resident of one of the following North West London boroughs: Brent, Ealing, Hillingdon, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, Harrow and Hounslow?

We are currently recruiting 4 experts by experience per borough to establish an alliance of 32 mental health advisors (temporarily named MAD Republic), to advise and influence the North West London Mental Health and Wellbeing Whole System Transformation Board of Commissioners.

The Alliance of people who access services and carers will be supported by NSUN to ensure that the 4PI National Involvement Standards developed by and for service users and carers and also agreed by the Department of Health and recommended in the Crisis Care Concordat as best practice, underpin the project.

Using this quality assurance framework and drawing from Values-based practice (VbP) and Values-based Commissioning (VbC), MAD Republic will collaborate to establish co-production at the individual, community, operational and strategic levels of commissioning and provision of quality, non-stigmatising care and support for emotional wellbeing across North West London.

The role of the advisors will be to share individual and collective experience, to provide expert advice to the Mental Health and Wellbeing Transformation Board work-streams to challenge, inform and drive redesign and improved delivery of the Crisis Concordat standards for care and support locally.

We are looking for creative and radical people who have a strong vision for positive change in North West London.
