GP Practices Update
11/01/2021
GP practices in Harrow are contacting patients to update them on access to services. Each GP Practice can choose how they word their message, but the decision is a North West London wide decision, the key message is summarised below.
General Practices are open but if you feel it can wait, please delay whilst they focus on the prioriities, but if you need to contact them, please do.
This is as a result of the increased demand on hospitals due to a surge in coronavirus infections, GP surgeries are being asked to support hospital colleagues by prioritising care for urgent matters and to step-down certain routine activities for at least the next two weeks. They will continue to offer appointments with clinicians for acute illnesses and worsening of chronic diseases, as well as blood tests, wound care dressings, antenatal clinics, mother & baby checks, childhood immunisations, adult vaccinations and cervical cytology for patients at increased risk.
Please follow government guidelines and stay safe remembering - ‘Hands. Face. Space.’
