Have your say on how your health and care information is used
Public and Patient Engagement Invitation
In July 2016 a review was published, which makes recommendations on how health and care information should be used.
The Department of Health is now seeking views from patients, and the public on how health and care information should be used. A public consultation was launched in July to do this.
The Department of Health is keen to hear a wide range of views in addition to the online consultation and is holding three discussion events for members of the public at venues across the country to enable this. Supported by NHS England, these Government led events will feature speakers such as Dame Fiona Caldicott, the National Data Guardian, clinicians and patients; followed by group discussions.
The purpose of the events is to ensure the public has an opportunity to discuss how their information is used and to seek views on the recommendations made in the review. Feedback from each session will be used to inform plans for how your health and care information is used in the future.
