Re: Free film about good practice in life story work based on research findings
A five-minute film based on the findings of a University of York research project looking at good practice in life story work is now available. The film can be used by anyone (for non-commercial purposes) free of charge, for example for staff training or awareness raising. View and download the film here: https://www.york.ac.uk/spru/projects/life-story-feasibility/
There is also a short summary of the research findings which lists key features of good practice (see attached) and can be downloaded: http://eprints.whiterose.ac.uk/95286/1/Life_Story_Work_in_Dementia_Care_SPRU_Research_Findings_Feb_2016.pdf
The findings are based on a systematic review of the literature and 10 focus groups with people with dementia, family carers and professionals (with a total of 73 participants) .
The full report can be accessed here: http://eprints.whiterose.ac.uk/104193/2/FullReport_hsdr04230.pdf
