Procurement of NHS GP Access Walk in Centres in Harrow
NHS Harrow Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is currently undertaking the procurement
process to award a provider with the contract to deliver NHS GP Access Walk in Centres in
The contract will be for a provider to deliver three Walk in Centres. One at the Alexandra
Avenue Health and Social Care Centre and one at The Pinn Medical Centre; both locations
are existing NHS Walk in Centres and the new contract(s) will take effect from Thursday, 1st
September 2016. A third Walk in Centre will be implemented to be delivered in the East
Harrow locality from Tuesday, 1st November 2016.
The feedback and participation from our residents and patients is paramount when designing
and awarded services for the Harrow population and as such we would like to involve some
local residents in the decision making process for selecting the preferred provider of GP
Access Walk in Centres. The process will be fairly short and will include reading the service
specification, reviewing the bidder’s response to some key questions and applying a
weighted score to these. Training in how to undertake the scoring evaluation against the
2006 procurement regulations will be provided.
As a resident of Harrow that has an interest in healthcare services or have previously
attended an event hosted by the CCG you have been identified as a potential candidate to
work with us on this project. Should you be interested in participating in this contract award
exercise and have time available between Monday, 18th April and Thursday, 21st April 2016
for the remote scoring (this is when evaluators individually score the bidder response
questions and can be done at home with internet access) and Monday 25th April 2016 from
9:00am to 1:00pm (for a meeting at Harrow CCG to agree final scores), please contact
Jenny Gorasia on 020 8422 6644 or email@example.com.
If you wish to participate in other procurement or service redesign exercises please go to our
website (www.harrowccg,nhs.uk) for information about how you can get involved.
We look forward to working with you in the future as we work to improve healthcare services
for Harrow residents
